"I recently had an avionics upgrade done at Wipaire on my 1976 Arrow II. A week after the install had been started I stopped in to check on the progress. I was so happy to see the care that was used to protect the new paint and interior while in your shop. The polished spinner was covered, the seats were wrapped up and the wing was padded and covered with bubble wrap. Even where the electric cords and air hose came through the vent window, care was taken to protect the glass. Needless to say I am very particular on the work that is done on my plane and I could not be happier with the work that was performed by Carl Yager and Rick Wahlman. Rick was great to work with and was very knowledgeable and helpful. You have a great shop and very consciences employees with high standards. Thank you for the great job that Wipaire did."

Rick Wahlman joined the Wipaire team in 1989 to help establish Wipaire’s Avionics facility. Since then the Avionics Department has grown from a small, two-man shop to a modern, state-of-the-art facility.
Wahlman came to Wipaire from Van Dusen Airport Services at Flying Cloud Airport (FCM) where he served as Avionics Manager. Prior to that, he served as General Manager of Kings Avionics at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). Wahlman received the FAA “Avionics Technician of the Year” award for the Great Lakes Region in 2003.
