Jason Erickson has over 19 years aviation experience. He started flying with his father in Wisconsin at the wheel of a 1957 Tri Pacer at the age of 7. He attended Winona Technical College and obtained an airframe and powerplant certificate. He currently holds an Airframe and Powerplant, Inspection Authorization, Private pilot with complex, single engine land and sea and tail wheel endorsement.
Jason joined Wipaire in 1996 with several years of aviation background including flight school maintenance operations, antique aircraft repair and restoration, war birds, and commuter airline operations. 1996 was an exciting time for Wipaire as it was the introduction of a new float line. Jason was personally involved with research and development as well as certification of over 15 aircraft on our current float models. With skills obtained from several years as inspector and shop supervisor, Jason became the Director of Maintenance in 2004 with over 28 mechanics running 2 shifts, 7 days a week in a modern, state of the art facility.
