UND Aerospace conducts seaplane training at the nearby Crookston Municipal Airport. This allows for shorter travel time to the vast number of lakes in Minnesota allowing students the opportunity for both local and cross country operations while conducting their float training. Come experience a world of possibilities that only a float rating can make a reality.
Training is conducted in a Top Cub on Wipaire 2100 amphib floats.
Docking and mooring. Floatplane rental. Camping available. Renters must have 100 hours total time and 10 hours dual seaplane time in make and model in order to solo our C-172 seaplanes. Courtesy car available.
